Fred Dobbs

Fred Dobbs was born in Dublin, Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1963. Fred graduated at the Victoria College of Art where he studied Fine Arts.

Fred discovered Sand sculpture in the mid 1980’s and began touring competitively in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California. With a team of sculptors, Fred has been credited with Canadian, U.S. and World Sand Sculpture Titles, as well as recognition in the Guinness World Book of Records.

Fred began Sculpting full time in 1992, traveling throughout North America, Australia and Japan. In 1994 Fred along with his team mates won the World Team Championship title at Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, Canada.
