SAND SCULPTURE

Fine Art Sand Sculpture

Sandscapes started from humble beginnings on the beaches of Southern California in the early 80's, building sand sculptures for competitions, and for just plain old fun. It was soon apparent that sand sculpture was more than a mere passion with us. We lived, breathed and, yes, ate sand at any opportunity. In 1986 we began dabbling in sand sculpture professionally. By 1987 we had all quit our original professions and started our present one as full time professional sand sculptors.

Detail...
"Visitors were amazed with each of the 30 sculptures, from the Phillie Phanatic and Ben Franklin to the Pittsburgh skyline and Philadelphia's own City Hall. The character, authenticity and detail was unbelievable."
Ed Rendell
Mayor of Philadelphia

Attention to detail and a "complete finish" is a Sandscapes hallmark. Our sculptures are carved entirely down to the floor creating a finished picture, instead of a sculpture stuck in a pile of sand. In addition, every sculpture is filled with an extraordinary amount of detail, which is achieved by using techniques, and engineering pioneered  by Sandscapes.

"I would like to congratulate you on the professionalism of your organization and thank you for making the whole project run smoothly at such a busy time for us."ArchBut.jpg (2539 bytes)

Sydney Royal Easter Show, Australia

Although we can be fierce competitors, we understand how important it is to keep our projects worry free for our clients. This policy has been at the core of Sandscapes since it's inception. Sandscapes is flexible and cooperative, and completely without the "artist ego" prevalent in many performers.
